{UFP}TeamSpeak Server Rules & Guidelines Section 1: General Conduct We chose to use TeamSpeak because its ability to provide instant voice comms is invaluable ingame. However, due to the nature of instant communication and conversation, it's easy to forget that we are a clan with rules and regulations. While we realize that everyone occasionally makes a mistake, all {UFP} members must follow the {UFP} Code of Conduct while on the TeamSpeak server - as with any other server we host. As always, you are representative of our clan. Section 2: Language & Behavior Excessive swearing, racial slurs or insults, and any excessive arguing and flaming is not permitted. We understand that an occasional swear may drop, or an argument may occur - if this happens, you will be politely reminded to keep it friendly and clean. However, if you ignore repeated requests to behave properly, expect consequences. A note on mic etiquette: Think about how you'd behave in a face-to-face conversation. Be polite and friendly, especially when requesting help - not demanding. Don't spam music or voice clips unless people want to hear them, don't give away spoilers or other information without asking first - and if you're asked to stop, do. Don't whine or complain if you're not getting responses; it will not endear you to anyone. Additionally, when configuring your mic, please bind a push-to-talk key. If your mic is always on, random background noise might seep in, and we won't know when you're talking. If your mic causes too much static or is too loud or soft, we might ask you to change - be patient, we're only trying to help. Section 3: Room Usage Please try to use the room most appropriate for your situation, and try to keep things on topic. The away team rooms are for group missions, the Harriers rooms are for roleplay discussion. Don't barge into a room and interrupt a conversation in progress; wait to be welcomed and to get your chance to speak. At the moment, we don't allow regular users to create rooms. However, if you'd like a room created for a special purpose or on a temporary basis, you can contact a TS mod or administrator. Section 4: Contacting Admins Any rule violations should be reported to someone with TS admin capacities as soon as they occur. Those people are:
Any other questions or comments can be directed to them, or posted in the technichal support forum. Due to the nature of voice communications, it is difficult for us to keep records of what's occurred. Therefore, it is critical that any and all issues be reported as soon as they occur so we can properly investigate. Section 5: Consequences If you ignore repeated requests to behave properly, disciplinary action may be taken against you. The action taken depends on the severity of the issue at hand, but can range from a kick from the room or TeamSpeak server, a temporary server ban, or additional consequences within {UFP} as a whole, including strikes, demotion, and ultimately discharge - but we hope to never have to do that. Section 6: Your Questions If you have any questions or comments, please let us know. The rules have been amended so that swearing is now permitted. However, excessive swearing is not permissible. Please use common sense, and be aware of the potential ages of TeamSpeak users.
